Fixing openoffice not found
vi /opt/Alfresco/tomcat/shared/classes/alfresco/extension/bootstrap/openoffice-startup-context.xml
change soffice to soffice.bin and remove the quotes

/* Fixing permission denied on soffice */
chmod -R 755 /usr/lib/openoffice/

  1. I’m having some issues with the startup script it tells me

    /etc/init.d/alfresco: line 65: syntax error near unexpected token `&’
    /etc/init.d/alfresco: line 65: ` echo -e “\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n`date` Starting Alfresco …” >>$LOGFILE’

  2. bonjour;
    je vous serias reconnaissant de bien vouloir me préciser pourquoi je converte le fichier “install alfresco” .exe en .bin
    remerciements

  3. Hi marwan,

    bonjour, i dont understand french but I guess you are asking about renaming the installer into .bin

    I only did that because it won’t execute in ubuntu eventhough I issued chmod +x

  4. I want to ask, why alfresco only detect free space from
    my virtual file server 7.9 G, is there any configuration issue?

  5. typo in apt-get install sun-jav6-jdk
    should be: apt-get install sun-java6-jdk
